Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Her other appearances include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She fell in love acting in the Preparatory school, prior to moving to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. She was a theatre student at Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working as a theatre actor in the Chicago region for a couple of years, before attempting her hand at television and films. Anna was cast as Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of the 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was picked as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn was also on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of his life.
